Red Flag Warning until 09:00PM Wednesday
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from 9 AM to 9 PM MDT Wednesday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Highlands, Northeast Plains, Northwest Highlands, Middle Rio Grande Valley, Sandia, Manzano and Gallinas Mountains, West Central Highlands and the East Central Plains except Curry and Roosevelt counties. Critical conditions are expected today between noon and 9 PM MDT and on Wednesday from late morning through mid evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...For today, 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. For Wednesday, 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...For today, 6 to 15 percent. For Wednesday, 6 to 10 percent. Widespread poor humidity recovery tonight (except in Curry and Roosevelt Counties).
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended..
* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS ... NORTHWEST HIGHLANDS ... MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY ... SANDIA MANZANO AND GALLINAS MOUNTAINS ... EAST CENTRAL PLAINS ... WEST CENTRAL HIGHLANDS
