With increasing infection rates, New York City could move from “low” to a “medium” in the CDC’s level of community spread. The City has its own list of recommendations and considerations that residents and the government should consider if the City hits a medium level, including the return of facemasks in schools and other high risk areas, and proof of vaccination at restaurants and indoor entertainment locations.
Tomorrow evening at 7:30pm, the Guilderland Historical Society is hosting an online presentation about the newly recognized “Country Club Highlands Historic District” in McKownville. Bill Kidd, a key resident in this concerted effort, will explain the process for achieving this recognition and what it means for the community. The new historic district is a large part of the hamlet and includes the north side of Western Avenue between Fuller Road and Waverly Place, and properties along Western Avenue, Waverly Place and portions of Norwood, Glenwood, Parkwood and Elmwood Streets. The district includes 94 houses built between 1910 and 1952. I congratulate friends and residents in achieving this wonderful this result.
Thank you for staying safe and calm.
