INCIDENT: Child Molestation
LOCATION: 9900 block of Redwood Avenue, unincorporated Fontana
VICTIM: Confidential
SUSPECT: Jose Godinez, age 20, a resident of unincorporated Fontana
SUMMARY: On Thursday, April 14, 2022, at about 12:17 P.M., deputies from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station learned of a possible child molestation victim. Through investigation, deputies determined Jose Godinez committed multiple sexual acts with the victim, who was about 10 years old when the acts began, over a period of several years. Deputies corroborated the allegations and later arrested Godinez at the Fontana Sheriff’s Station. Godinez was later booked into the West Valley Detention Center for several felony charges. Godinez is currently being held at the Central Detention Center on $5,000,000 bail.
