Road Rage Incident Leads to Arrest 
On 04-20-22 at approximately 7:00pm, the Janesville Police Department and the Janesville Fire Department were dispatched to the 100 block of South Franklin Street for a subject stabbed in the head. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Through the investigation, officers learned the incident took place on E. Racine Street near S. Main Street. The victim was driving on E. Racine Street and the suspect vehicle pulled in front of the victim’s vehicle blocking his lane of traffic. The suspect got out of his vehicle and walked up to the victim, stabbing him in the head with a knife. The suspect then left the incident location. The victim and suspect did not know each other prior to the incident. The victim was able to leave the scene and call Rock County dispatch.
As a result of the investigation, officers later located the suspect and suspect’s vehicle. The suspect, Damien S. Walls, 28 years old was taken into custody without incident.
The incident appears to have stemmed from a road rage incident. At this time, the investigation is still ongoing.
