On 04-21-22 at approximately 8pm an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 500 block of Blackbridge Rd in Janesville.  The operator of the vehicle was identified as Treshawn McDaniel, 35 year old male from Evansville, WI.  During the course of the traffic stop a K9 was requested to sniff the exterior of the vehicle which gave a positive indication for the presence of narcotics.  A search located a loaded handgun with an extended magazine under the drivers seat.  A small amount of marijuana was also located in the vehicle. 
 
McDaniel was previously released from jail after posting cash bond in Rock County for cases related to armed robbery, domestic violence, and bail jumping.  McDaniel was transported to Rock County Jail.

On 04/24/22 at approximately 5:20pm an officer made a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of W. Centerway St. and Academy St in Janesville.  The officer noticed marijuana inside the vehicle during contact with the driver.  During a search of the vehicle an assault rifle with a drum magazine and handgun with multiple magazines and ammunition were located concealed in the vehicle.  The operator Orion D. Mitchell, 22 year old male was taken into custody on multiple charges.  He was held at the Rock County Jail.
 
Mitchell was previously released from jail in Rock County for cases related to drug possession, operating firearm while intoxicated, felony bail jumping, and carrying a concealed weapon.  Mitchell’s bond conditions prohibit him from possessing firearms.  Mitchell was held at Rock County Jail.
