* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Crockett and Sutton.
* WHEN...Until 915 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 610 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. An additional one half to one inch of rainfall is possible. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Ozona, The Intersection Of Highway 163 And Ranch Road 1973, The Intersection Of Ranch Road 2083 And Highway 405, The Intersection Of I-10 And Highway 405 and The Intersection Of Us-277 And Ranch Road 189. - This includes the following Low Water Crossings... crossings along SH 163 and crossings along County Road 401. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Arroyos, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.
