According to an Analysis of NJ Crash Data, During the 10-Year Period from 2011 – 2020:
More than half of all crashes involved a distracted driver.
Nearly a third of all fatal crashes involved a distracted driver.
30% of drivers involved in distracted driving crashes were 21 to 30 years of age.
45% of all distracted driving crashes occurred between noon and 6 p.m.
43% of pedestrian-involved crashes also involved a distracted driver.
