Full Notification

Sheriff Richard J Behnke reports, on 04/24/2022 at approximately 1700 hours his Deputies were notified of a camper, stolen out of St. Joseph county Michigan, possibly in the Cass County area. Deputies were able to locate the stolen trailer in the 55000 block of Gards Prairie Rd.  Through investigation, Deputies were able to confirm it was the stolen camper and also located methamphetamine. A 33 year old male was arrested for possession of stolen property and possession of methamphetamine.  The suspect’s name is being withheld pending arraignment on the charges. This investigation is still ongoing. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Cass County K-9 unit and St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Office.
