LOCATION: 18000 State Hwy 18 in the Town of Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Kevin Dewayne Cannon, a 33-year-old resident of Victorville

SUMMARY: On Monday, April 25, 2022, at approximately 11:56 am, Deputy Whitecloud with the Apple Valley Police Department was dispatched to a report of a subject that masturbated in front of an employee at St. Mary's Hospital.
The subject, identified as parolee Kevin Cannon, left the location prior to deputies arriving. A records check revealed Cannon had two felony warrants, is a registered sex offender, and failed to register. Working with State Parole, Cannon was located in Victorville but fled when a parole agent attempted to make contact with him.
Deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded and attempted to make contact with Cannon in the parking lot of Cardenas Mexican Market, but he fled, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. Cannon led deputies on a 13-mile pursuit where he drove recklessly through residential areas, the I15 freeway, and a school zone where children were present. The pursuit ended when Cannon drove back to Cardenas Mexican Market, entered the store, and taken into custody without further incident.
Cannon was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for indecent exposure and felony evading. In addition to these charges, he was booked on two felony warrants, and for violating the terms of his Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS). He is currently being held on a no-bail parole hold.
