Update on shooting in the 1300 block of Plainfield Ave. 
On 4/26/22 at 4:32 PM the Janesville Police Department responded to a shooting in the 1300 block of Plainfield Ave. The victim of the shooting was transported to a local hospital where the victim was pronounced dead.
The suspect is in police custody, and investigators are still actively working in the 1300 block of Plainfield Ave. We appreciate the public's patience in avoiding the area.
A press conference will be held at the Janesville Police Department on Wednesday, April 27th at 11:00 AM.
