INCIDENT: PC 273.5(a) Felony Spousal Abuse
LOCATION: 35000 Block of Kelbaker Rd. Kelso, CA
SUSPECT(S): Samuel Lopes, 24 Years Old, Resident of Pompano, FL
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Monday, April 25, 2022, at approximately 4:21 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a call for service for a report of a domestic disturbance, near the 35000 block of Kelbaker Road. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered the victim had been assaulted by Samuel Lopes during an altercation while driving.
Lopes was consequently arrested for PC 273.5(a) - Felony Spousal Abuse, and was transported to the High Desert Detention Center for booking. Lopes remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $50,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
