Mayor to start the OC Marathon, and the Celebrate OC Festival is taking place this weekend 
Beginning Friday April 29 through May 1, the OC Fair & Event Center will be the spot for the 18th Annual OC Marathon Running and Celebrate OC Festival. Mayor John Stephens will be on hand to start the marathon and will be at the finish line. The OC Marathon Course will start in front of the Newport Beach Marriott Hotel & Spa just south of Santa Barbara Drive and finish at the OC Fair & Event Center.
Event weekend includes OC Half Marathon, Full Marathon, Kids Run the OC and the Celebrate OC 5K – not to mention activations from various sponsors, and the Celebrate OC festival!
Schedule of Events:
- OC Lifestyle and Fitness Expo – Friday, April 29, 4 -8 p.m. & Saturday, April 30, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
- Kids Run the OC – Saturday, April 30, 8 a.m.-noon
- Celebrate OC 5K – Saturday, April 30, 5 p.m. (Finish Line Festival is 1-7 p.m.)
- SDCCU OC Marathon start – Sunday, May 1, 5:30 a.m. (Finish Line Festival is 8 a.m.-noon)
- SDCCU OC Half Marathon start -Sunday, May 1, 6:15 a.m. (Finish Line Festival is 8 a.m.-noon)
