Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a motorcycle passenger this evening.
 
Robert Ayala was riding a 2021 Yamaha Motorcycle westbound on the Long Island Expressway, near Old Nichols Road, when his passenger, Denise Chotalal, fell of the rear of the motorcycle at 6:56 p.m.
 
Chotalal, 46, of Jamaica, Queens, was transported by helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. Ayala, 49, of Rego Park, Queens, was not injured.
 
Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
