OWI 9th Arrest -- Brenda Mcintyre

OWI 9th Arrest - Brenda Mcintyre

On 5/01/22, at 1:12 AM, a Janesville officer was southbound in the 200 blk of Milton Avenue when they were almost hit head on by an oncoming vehicle. The officer was able to make their way back northbound to initiate a traffic stop. The vehicle also had a defective driver side brake light. The officer made the traffic stop in the area of Glen Street and Prairie Avenue in the City of Janesville. Contact was made with the driver, identified with her revoked Wisconsin driver’s license, as Brenda Mcintyre. Brenda had the odor of intoxicants coming from her breath and showed signs of being impaired. The officer attempted to have Brenda do Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFST’s), however, she was unable to complete them due to her being intoxicated. Brenda showed eight (8) prior OWI convictions on her driving record. She was arrested for her ninth (9th) OWI and refused a legal blood draw. A search warrant was drafted, reviewed and signed by a judge to collect her blood. She was transported to the Rock County Jail where she is currently being held on the felony charge until her initial court appearance.
