Southern Boulevard to Close Monday for Water Improvements
Closure May Cause Delays and Impact Commute
Beginning on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 6:00 a.m., Southern Boulevard from McAlpin Street to Delaware Avenue will be closed to all but local and emergency traffic while the Albany Water Department is completing work in that area. The road closure is anticipated to be in place Monday through Friday and open for the weekends.
A signed detour will be in place during the project to safely direct motorists around the closure.
Motorists who typically travel in this area should expect delays are urged to seek alternate routes.
The project is anticipated to take place through the end of June.
