Hello,
Beginning tomorrow, May 3, at 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., and again from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, the Route 71 Bridge (Main Street Bridge) will be closed due to construction.

There will be a detour on either side of the bridge.  If you are traveling north on Main Street, you will be directed to turn left onto Eighth Avenue, then right on Rt. 35 to continue over the Route 35/Shark River Bridge and follow signs for Avon-by-the-Sea.  You may also utilize 5th Avenue east to continue to the Ocean Avenue Bridge or west and follow River Avenue around to the Rt. 35 Bridge. 
 
Please plan accordingly and follow traffic detours. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation.
