Door-to-door sales scams 
There have been several reports of door-to-door solicitors posing as NOPEC employees in several Northeast Ohio communities. As a reminder, NOPEC NEVER goes door-to-door or calls residents or small businesses to enroll them. If a solicitor requests to see a copy of your utility bill, politely decline. It is a scam.
If someone knocks on your door posing as a NOPEC employee, ask for a business card and call police at 440-331-1234 to report them. You may also call NOPEC’s Customer Care Center at 855-667-3201. Thank you and stay safe!
