We want to remind the community about a planned fireworks training event tomorrow between 1pm and 4pm at the Petaluma Fairgrounds. The privately sponsored training will include the discharge of fireworks for approximately five minutes sometime between 12:30pm and 1:15pm. Since this activity is occurring outside of a holiday and during daylight hours, we wanted to alert the community so the sounds did not cause concern or be confused with possible gunfire.
Appropriate safety measures are in place with first responders on site supervising the training and ensuring the community is safe.
