The Borough of Ho-Ho-Kus is proud to announce its inaugural Hometown Heroes Program where we will pay tribute to those who fought under our nation’s flag with patriotic banners that will line our downtown business district lamp posts.
Ho-Ho-Kus residents and businesses are invited to sponsor a banner honoring their military hero. Banners will feature a photo of the veteran or active-duty member, his or her name, date of service, and branch of service. The sponsor family or name will be printed on the banner.
The 24” x 48” patriotic banners are available for $150 per sponsorship.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited. To ensure a spot, we encourage you to submit your hero’s sponsorship order today.
The individual to be honored and recognized must reside or have resided in Ho-Ho-Kus OR be a family member of a Ho-Ho-Kus resident or business owner. The nominee must serve or have honorably served in any of the six branches of military service including Reserves and National Guard.
All banners will be displayed through Veterans Day 2022.

Regarding this borough initiative, Mayor Thomas Randall said, “We are excited to launch the Hometown Heroes Program where we will honor members of the Ho-Ho-Kus community who faithfully served in the United States Armed Forces. This recognition is a great reminder of the sacrifices they made and continue to make in the pursuit of our freedom.”
