ROHNERT PARK - On 05/05/2022, at approximately 12:14 PM, the Rohnert Park DPS Communications Center received multiple 911 calls reporting a structure fire at 8006 McNair Court. Callers reported that there were flames visible up the side of the house and one person may still be inside the residence.
 
The first units arrived in approximately four minutes to find the exterior structure completely on fire and in the attic of the residence. Units immediately confirmed that all of the occupants were in fact out of the structure. Firefighters from Rohnert Park DPS, Rancho Adobe, Gold Ridge Fire and Sonoma County Fire assisted in the suppression efforts controlling the fire within eight minutes of being on scene. Crews had the fire fully extinguished in approximately 20 minutes and were able to protect the adjacent homes. 
 
Investigators from Rohnert Park DPS are on scene and initial investigations point towards a cooking fire in an attached shed that caused the fire to rapidly grow causing significant damage. The damage caused by the fire is estimated to be approximately $400,000 with damage to the shed and main structure.
