Detectives Identify Two Suspects Responsible for Numerous Thefts; One in Custody

SUSPECT(S): Vanessa Parra, 21-year-old resident of San Dimas, and Everett Johnson Jr., 24-year-old resident of Azusa
VICTIM(S): Sunglass Hut, Shoppes at Chino Hills
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, April 26, 2022, deputies responded to Sunglass Hut, located in the City of Chino Hills, reference a theft. Sunglass Hut employees reported a female and male entered the store. The female distracted the employee while the male stole three pairs of sunglasses, worth over $1,200.00.
Detectives from the Chino Hills Station identified Vanessa Parra of San Dimas and Everett Johnson of Azusa as the suspects who stole the glasses. On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, detectives contacted Parra at her residence and located over $4,000.00 worth of stolen glasses in her possession.
Detectives believe Parra and Johnson worked together and are responsible for numerous thefts from Sunglass Hut locations throughout California.
Parra was arrested for grand theft and transported to the West Valley Detention Center for booking. Johnson's whereabouts are currently unknown.
