Advisory

Warning regarding Fentanyl Overdoses

The Simi Valley Police Department has seen an increase in overdose cases within the past several weeks, which can be directly tied to the synthetic opioid, Fentanyl.  In a vast majority of these cases, the individuals have purchased illicit pills from Narcotics dealers, thought to be Oxycodone or Xanax.  However, these pressed pills contained Fentanyl, resulting in overdose cases, some of which were fatal.

While the Simi Valley Police Department in no way condones the purchase or usage of any illicit substance, please be aware that in light of the usage of Fentanyl, doing so can have dire consequences.

If you have any information regarding the illicit sales of narcotics or controlled substances, please contact the Simi Valley Police Department’s “Narcotics Tip Line” at 805-583-6210.

If you are struggling with addiction there are treatment programs available, use “211” on your phone for assistance.
