Rain event that will affect the area beginning on May 6 and continuing through May 8, 2022. 
Emergency Management is monitoring a rain event that will affect the area beginning on Friday morning (May 6, 2022) and continuing through early Sunday morning (May 8, 2022).
Total forecasted rain fall for this event is predicted to be approximately 2 inches of rainfall over a period of 48 hours. The rain should be steady over that period of time. Temperatures will remain between 45F and 55F throughout the event. Winds will be 10 – 15mph with gusts to 25mph. There is a potential for minor flooding of low lying and poor drainage areas.
Please continue to monitor local weather conditions, local streams, flood prone areas, and be alert for forecast changes as this system develops and approaches the area. Please be sure to take appropriate mitigation actions to protect flood prone properties.
