Grand Theft Suspect Located and Arrested in Chino Hills

SUMMARY: On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, deputies from the Chino Hills Station responded to a call for service in the 15300 block of Lotus Circle for the theft of an electric vehicle charging cord. The cord was valued over $950, and a felony crime report was taken for grand theft. The suspect was recorded on a home camera system committing the crime, and deputies positively identified him as Rudy Perez.
On Friday, May 6, 2022, at 4:03 a.m., deputies from the Chino Hills Station Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) located Perez walking in the roadway in the 4200 block of Sierra Vista Drive, and took him into custody without incident. Perez was transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center.
