Philadelphia Man Arrested for Possessing Stolen Vehicle, Handgun
For Immediate Release: May 6th, 2022
At approximately 11:00 AM on May 2nd, 2022 a city officer was patrolling the area of U.S. Route 30 (White Horse Pike).
The officer located a vehicle in the parking lot of an Absecon motel which was discovered to be stolen out of the City of Philadelphia during a carjacking.
The investigation revealed that Tydre Nyair Burnett, 20, of Philadelphia Pennsylvania, was in possession of the stolen vehicle.
Upon his arrest he was also found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.
The Absecon Police Department is working with the Philadelphia Police Department on this case.

CHARGES: Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Certain Persons Not To Possess Weapons, Possession of Hollow Point Bullets, Possession of a High Capacity Magazine, Receiving Stolen Property
Burnett was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility
