Update - The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a Tornado Watch for Norfolk, VA, and it is in effect until tonight at 10 pm. A tornado watch means that tornadoes are possible in and near the watch area. WEATHER ADVISORY: Severe storms are expected to begin late this afternoon and coastal flooding throughout the weekend. Damaging wind gusts, hail, and the potential for tornadoes are possible. Residents can park for free in the York Street Garage and Brambleton Lot until noon on Monday, May 9.
