* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, Water covers the pedestrian bridge adjacent to the Shepherdstown boat ramp. Significant portions of the C&O Canal towpath are flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:31 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 11.2 feet, or 3.8 feet below flood stage. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just after midnight tonight to a crest of 19.2 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage Monday afternoon. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 19.2 feet on 02/28/1936. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
