In a local return to normalcy, the Albany Pine Bush Preserve is hosting Lupine Fest 2022 on Saturday, May 21 from 10am to 4pm.  The blue lupine is a beautiful native wildflower that blooms in May and June and is key to the survival of Karner blue butterflies.  With warmer weather forecasted, there is hope that this year’s Lupine Fest will be perfectly timed for the blooming of the lupine flowers and the arrival of Karner blue butterflies.  You can enjoy live music, food, arts and crafts, games, special events, and participate in wildlife programs, nature hikes, and a special story walk.  Free parking for this event is located at 302 Washington Ave Ext with a free shuttle bus to the Discovery Center.  More information about parking and activities at Lupine Fest 2022 is available online.

I hope that you are having an enjoyable and relaxing weekend.

Thank you for staying safe and calm.
