Red Flag Warning until 09:00PM Tuesday
The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Red Flag Warning...which is in effect from 11 AM to 9 PM MDT Tuesday. The Fire Weather Watch for Tuesday is no longer in effect.
* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast and East Central Plains 9 AM to 9 PM MDT Monday and also late Tuesday morning through early Tuesday evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest winds of 25 to 40 mph with occasional gusts of 50 to near 60 mph Monday. South southwest winds on Tuesday at 20 to 30 mph with occasional gusts of 40 to 45 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Ranging from 4 to 9 percent each day with long durations of single digit relative humidities as well as poor overnight recoveries.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly and will be very hard to control. Long range spotting and extreme fire behavior will be possible. Outdoor burning should not be done.
* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHEAST PLAINS ... EAST CENTRAL PLAINS
