Haledon Police Announce Implementation of  Quality of Life Division 

Haledon – Chief of Police Angelo J. Daniele, in cooperation with Haledon Mayor Domenick Stampone and the Haledon Municipal Council, announces the deployment of the newly formed Haledon Police Department Quality-of-Life Division. The Quality-of-Life Division will be staffed with plain-clothes detectives under the direction of the Investigative and Special Services Bureau. 

The Quality-of-Life Division will have wide-ranging law-enforcement capabilities with a focus on improving quality-of-life and enforcing issues such as, loud music and unruly gatherings, persons congregating while obstructing public passages such as sidewalks, vandalism, parking violations, littering, illegal dumping, inoperable vehicles, narcotics enforcement and other criminal offenses. Moreover, the Quality-of-Life Division will have a committed partnership with the Haledon Building Department and its Code Enforcement Officer – the Quality-of-Life Division will proactively enforce property maintenance violations, illegal apartments, and other municipal code offenses. It should be noted that members of the Quality-of-Life Division will be equipped with a body worn camera. The Quality-of-Life Division will work a flexible schedule to provide the ability to adapt to contemporary lawbreaking trends or safety issues. The duties of the Quality-of-Life Division will be data-driven and aims to be proactive and precise.
