Upcoming Events in Knowlton 
Monday, May 16: The NJ Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) will reopen the Columbia Wildlife Management Area, located in Knowlton, to the public. The area was closed to allow for stabilization of the land and for JCP&L to conduct repairs and upgrades following the removal of Columbia dam.
Saturday, May 21: The Township will host a free "shred event" for Knowlton residents on Saturday, May 21, 2022. The event will run from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM or until the mobile unit is completely full at the Knowlton Municipal Building, located at 628 Route 94.
Knowlton residents may drop off confidential documents to be destroyed by a commercial-grade shredding company. The event will be paid for by monies awarded for the Clean Communities recycling program.
*There is a limit of two (20-pound) boxes per household.*
The vendor, Absolute Shredding, will be on hand to serve residents on a first come, first serve basis. The company’s employees are bonded and have been vetted to handle sensitive and confidential materials.
