* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Highlands and the Sandia, Manzano, and Gallinas Mountains. Today from 11 AM until 9 PM MDT, and Thursday from 9 AM until 8 PM MDT.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest winds of 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph today, and gusts up to 40 mph Thursday.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...9 to 15 percent today, then 3 to 5 percent Thursday. Fair to poor humidity recovery tonight.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will spread rapidly and be difficult to control. Outdoor burning should not be done.
* AFFECTED AREAS: NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS ... SANDIA MANZANO AND GALLINAS MOUNTAINS
