FINAL UPDATE: PG&E and Public Works crews worked throught the night to clear the roadway. El Monte is now open. We appreciate your cooperation.
TRAFFIC UPDATE: Anticipate this portion of the roadway to be closed all night. PG&E has to secure the power lines before crews can begin work to remove the tree from the roadway. Avoid this area of El Monte from Higgins to Springer. We will check back in the morning with a status update.
