Two Suspects Arrested for Drugs and Weapons Charges in Loma Linda

INCIDENT: Possession of a Loaded Firearm While in Possession of a Controlled Substance
LOCATION: Van Luevan Street and Orange Grove Street, Loma Linda
SUSPECT(S): Joseph Pena, 21-year-old Fontana Resident
Denise Miranda, 36-year-old Yuma, AZ Resident
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On May 12, 2022, deputies conducted a vehicle check at the intersection of Van Luevan Street and Orange Grove Street. During a search of the vehicle, a loaded handgun, cocaine and $33,750 was recovered.
The driver, Denise Miranda, was arrested for HS 11550E- Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance While in Possession of a Firearm and the passenger, Joseph Pena, was arrested for HS 11370.1(A)- Possession of a Loaded Firearm While in Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Both suspects were transported to the Central Detention Center where they are being held on a $50,000 bail bond.
