A reminder that the Lupine Fest 2022 at the Albany Pine Bush Preserve is returning this Saturday, May 21 from 10am to 4pm. It will hopefully provide the opportunity to witness the blooming of the blue lupine, a beautiful native wildflower that is vital to the survival of Karner blue butterflies. With this weekend’s warmer weather and more of the same forecasted for late next week, there is growing hope that this year’s Lupine Fest will be perfectly timed for both the blooming of the lupine flowers and arrival of Karner blue butterflies.
The Lupine Fest offers live music, food, arts and crafts, games, and special events, and the opportunity to participate in wildlife programs, nature hikes, and a special story walk. There is free parking for this event at 302 Washington Ave Ext with a free shuttle bus to the Discovery Center. Additional information about parking and activities at Lupine Fest 2022 is available online.
Thank you for staying safe and calm.
