Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 08:30PM Sunday

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southern East Carroll Parish in northeastern Louisiana... Madison Parish in northeastern Louisiana... Richland Parish in northeastern Louisiana... Northeastern Franklin Parish in northeastern Louisiana... Southwestern Issaquena County in west central Mississippi...

* Until 830 PM CDT.

* At 739 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles southwest of Rolling Fork to 7 miles south of Oak Grove to 7 miles north of Sterlington, moving south at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Severe thunderstorms will be near... Monticello around 755 PM CDT. Tendal and Waverly around 810 PM CDT. Tallulah around 815 PM CDT. Alto around 820 PM CDT. Afton around 830 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include Mound, Delta and Richmond.

* AFFECTED AREAS: EAST CARROLL, LA ... FRANKLIN, LA ... MADISON, LA ... RICHLAND, LA ... ISSAQUENA, MS

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Large hail and damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
