INCIDENT: PC 664/187 - Attempted Murder
LOCATION: 1500 block of 5th Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Michal Villafanakissell, 25-years-old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Friday, May 13, 2022 at approximately 11:41 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to the 1500 block of 5th Street for a report of an assault.
Deputies arrived on scene and located the victim, who was suffering from a serious head injury. During the investigation, Michal Villafanakissell was identified as the suspect. Villafanakissell was later arrested and taken into custody without incident. Villafanakissell was also found to have an outstanding warrant out of Victorville.
Villafanakissell was transported to the High Desert Detention Center for booking. He remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a combined bail amount of $1,075,000.00, pending a court hearing.
