CWS HAS CONFIRMED A LEAK ON THEIR 24" WATER TRANSMISSION LINE UNDER THE HARBOR. Repairs can not be made until Friday so out of abundance of caution due to the line getting worse and possibly leaving SI without water, CWS, MPW, have come up with a plan to back feed SI from the MPW water main. This will be the first time this is tested. It is not clear at what pressure MPW can supply SI. We are expecting at least 50 psi from MPW. Normal pressures on the Island have historically been about 80 psi so SI residence will notice reduced and sometimes fluctuating pressures under this back feed situation until the line is repaired on Friday.  
Water quality will remain unchanged and safe to drink.
