Fontana Man Arrested for Criminal Threats made to a Rancho Cucamonga Church and School

LOCATION: 10900 Block Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga
SUSPECT(S): Richard Taylor, 54-years-old, Resident of Fontana
VICTIM(S): Abundant Living Fellowship Church / United Christian Academy
SUMMARY: On May 16, 2022, security for Abundant Living Fellowship Church reported Richard Taylor sent a criminal threat to security, via a text message. Taylor's threat included an indirect reference to the United Christian Academy, which operates a Pre-K - 12 school campus on the property.
The Rancho Cucamonga Police Department initiated an investigation. At the conclusion of the investigation, Taylor was taken into custody at his residence in Fontana, and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for PC 422 - Criminal Threats. He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
