UPDATE: This fire is under control and contained. The Santa Rosa Fire Department remains on the scene to fully extinguish any remaining hot spots within the fire's perimeter. An investigation into the cause of the fire is under way.
(Original message) Santa Rosa Fire Department is at the scene of a 50-foot by 100-foot vegetation fire inside Howarth Park. Santa Rosa Fire Department is being assisted by CAL FIRE and Henry 1. There are no threats to surrounding homes nor evacuations in place, at this time. However, firefighters are staged in the area of neighboring homes as a precaution.
