The following is a summary of criminal activity in El Cerrito. It does not include all crimes. It also does not include non-criminal events such as missing persons, traffic collisions, non-criminal deaths, non-criminal disputes, nor many other police activities that do not result in arrest.

May 13^th
Grand Theft – 6400 block of Portola Dr.
At 12:55 pm, two unknown suspects stole the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle.

Vehicle Theft – 1800 block of Liberty St. 
At 3:55 pm, a victim reported his 1995 Plymouth Voyager had been stolen sometime during the day. 

May 14^th

Warrant Arrest – 10760 San Pablo Avenue;
At 1:44 AM an officer stopped a subject who was walking through the shopping center and discovered they had an outstanding warrant for their arrest issued by Alameda County Sherriff’s Office.  The subject was arrested, booked at ECPD, and then transported to the Martinez detention Facility. 

May 15^th

Petty Theft – 3200 block of Carlson Blvd. 
At 12:00 pm, a known suspect stole one of the victim’s Chihuahua puppies.

May 16^th

Grand Theft – Central Avenue at Oak Street;
At 7:09 PM an officer went to a report that someone had stolen the catalytic converter from the victim’s vehicle sometime earlier in the day. 

Shoplifting – 11545 San Pablo Avenue (Ross);
At 8:00 PM an officer went to a report that two suspects entered the store, selected merchandise, and left the store without paying for the items. 

Shoplifting – 2000 El Cerrito Plaza (Ross);
At 8:48 PM an officer went to a report that two suspects entered the store, selected merchandise, and left the store without paying for the items.
