UPDATE!! Milling and paving CONTINUED
UPDATE!! Monmouth County has just advised of the following: Weather Permitting! Monmouth County will be returning on MONDAY, May 23rd at 6pm to finish the milling and paving of County Route 522 (aka Water Street and Wood Avenue) from Main Street in Englishtown to Justin Way in Manalapan. The job has been scheduled for 12 hours. 6pm to 6am
The roadway will be closed to all vehicles with exceptions for emergency vehicles.
Their will be detours set but expect delays and plan accordingly by either giving yourself extra time or plan an alternate route.
During milling residents will be allowed to carefully traverse the area. When paving starts expect delays becuse vehicles can not immediately drive on the fresh pavement.
Residents allowed to drive through the area of construction are reminded to be aware of their surroundings and to drive carefully and well under the speed limit. Construction vehicles may pull out in front of traffic and construction workers working in the roadway and may inadvertently step out in front of traffic.
