POLICE: A Message From Chief Espinosa Regarding The 7-11 Shooting
Last night there were several local news stories about a shooting at a local 7-11 convenience store in Montebello that occurred on April 30th, 2022. These were a result of our detectives asking for the public's help to identify the suspects involved in the shooting.
I want to reassure our Montebello community this was an isolated incident, and our investigation remains active. We are indeed fortunate no one was injured in this shocking incident. Still, the suspects remain at large - which is why our detectives decided to release a security video hoping that our community's tips may assist our investigation. Montebello is a safe city, and incidents like this are uncommon. Like our entire region, Montebello has experienced a rise in some crime over the past year for several different reasons. However, I assure residents that your Police Department remains vigilant and ready to respond and protect whenever necessary.
None of us can control what life brings, but let's continue to look out for one another. And if you have any information about this crime, don't hesitate to contact Detective Fivecoat at 323-887-1247, [email protected], or send us a message on social media. Should you like to stay anonymous, please call 1-800-222-TIPS.
Thank you for your vigilance and awareness!
