At approximately 1:13AM on Friday May 20, 2022, the Burlington Township Police Department responded to the area of Sunset Rd and Hospital Dr for a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, officers discovered that Charmain Williams, a 61-year-old female from Willingboro, NJ, was walking on Sunset Road in the roadway when she was struck by a black Toyota Camry. Williams sustained traumatic injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Williams was struck by a black Toyota Camry while walking on Sunset Road. The driver remained on location and cooperated with the investigation. The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
This collision is still under investigation by members of the Burlington Township Police Department Traffic Safety Unit and the Burlington Township Police Department Investigations Bureau.
