Flood Advisory until 07:45PM

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of East Central Indiana and Southeast Indiana, including the following counties, in East Central Indiana, Fayette IN, Union IN and Wayne. In Southeast Indiana, Franklin IN.

* WHEN...Until 745 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 435 PM EDT, radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Connersville, Centerville, Waterloo, Columbia, Bunker Hill, Abington, Brownsville, Laurel, Springersville, Mettel Field, Beesons, Alquina, Philomath, Nulltown, Clifton, Alpine and Interstate 70 at Exit 145.

* AFFECTED AREAS: FAYETTE, IN ... FRANKLIN, IN ... UNION, IN ... WAYNE, IN

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Keep children away from storm drains, culverts, creeks and streams. Water levels can rise rapidly and sweep children away. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. To report flooding, go to our website at weather.gov/iln and submit your report via social media, when you can do so safely.
