Flag Raising for Kyiv Day, 5/26
The Borough of Highland Park’s Human Relations Commission invites the community to a raising of the Ukrainian flag at 9:00 a.m. in the Highland Park Community Center parking lot.
Intro to Bomba – Dance, Drum & Song Classes, 5/29, 6/5, 6/12, 6/19 & 6/26
Raices Cultural Center presents ‘Intro to Bomba’ from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at the Environmental Center, 20 River Road. Registration is required and limited to the first twenty students per session. For more information, email [email protected] or call 917-583-4797.
Downtown Planting Days, 5/26 & 5/27
Main street Highland Park’s annual downtown planting days are back between the hours of 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. Volunteers are invited to come to the Main Street Highland Park offices at 212 Raritan Avenue to receive planting supplies, while they last!
Berry Pie Contest, 5/27
Amateur bakers are invited to bring their best version of a Berry pie to the Highland Park Farmer’s Market, 212 Raritan Avenue at 3:00 p.m. to compete for a Farmers Market tote filled with items from each vendor. Memorial Day Weekend Baseball Game, 5/27
Cheer on the Highland Park Owls as they compete against Bound Brook at the T.D. Bank Ballpark, Bridgewater, NJ at 7:00 p.m. To purchase a ticket, call 732-710-2292 or email [email protected]. Ticket cost is $15.

Outdoor Movie Theater, 5/28, 6/11, 6/25, 7/9 7/23, 8/6, 8/20 & 9/17
Join Main Street Highland Park at 9:00 p.m. at the Municipal Lot on Raritan Avenue between 2nd & 3rd Avenue for the annual outdoor movie series.
Memorial Day Parade, 5/30
Parade starts at 10:30 a.m. in New Brunswick at Redshaw Elementary School, 216 Livingston Ave. From there it will proceed up Raritan Ave to the Doughboy Monument in Highland Park.
Park Partners Grant Program, applications due 6/7, voting session 6/12
Residents are invited to apply through June 7th. The winning application in each category will be decided following an exhibition and voting session on Sunday, June 12th in the Community Center.
Fireworks in the Park, 7/3
Festivities start at 6:00 p.m. and fireworks display begins at 9:20 p.m. @ Donaldson Park. Raindate is July 7th. For more information please contact the Community Center at (732) 819-0052.
