* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of South Central Kansas, including the following counties, Harper, Kingman, Sedgwick and Sumner.

* WHEN...Until 515 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 506 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Wichita, Derby, Andover, Haysville, Wellington, Park City, Valley Center, Bel Aire, Mulvane, Goddard, Rose Hill, Maize, Kingman, Clearwater, Anthony, Cheney, Sedgwick, Belle Plaine, Harper and Colwich.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HARPER, KS ... KINGMAN, KS ... SEDGWICK, KS ... SUMNER, KS

Instructions:

Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't drown.
