DETAILS:  Ptl. LaForge was detailed to Home Depot for a shoplifter who was being detained by store Asset Protection. Investigation determined that Will Jordon purchased three sets of tools worth $462.00 at the self-checkout, and asked a store associate to watch his items while he went back inside the store to buy some more things. He selected three identical tools sets to the ones he had just purchased, brought them to a different cashier along with a battery, told the cashier he no longer wanted to purchase the battery, then showed his receipt from his original purchase and walked out without paying for the tool sets. He then returned to the store to claim the set of tools that he actually paid for. Jordon was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia containing heroin residue. Jordon was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at Mercer County Superior Court.

Arrested: Original Master Allah
                Resident of Newark, NJ 07106
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. DeBlasio observed a dark Chevrolet SUV with a rear mounted NJ license plate, but no license plate on the front, as required in NJ. While Ptl. DeBlasio was behind the vehicle, it came to a stop and the passenger got out and switched places with the driver, Original Master Allah. The vehicle then continued on its way with the new driver, but as it drove onto Clarksville Rd., it cut in front of an approaching car almost causing a crash. Ptl. DeBlasio initiated a stop on the vehicle, and during the stop, it was determined that Allah had a suspended license and a warrant for his arrest from East Orange. Allah was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future Court date in East Orange.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Hojnacki was detailed to the McCaffrey’s Market for a shoplifting. Upon his arrival, a store employee had detained Michael Sterns in the parking lot. Sterns was found to have concealed liquor and some other items under his clothing which he did not pay for. Sterns was processed at WWPD Headquarters and released pending a future date at West Windsor Municipal Court.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Knox responded to a residential burglary. It was found that while the resident was away from home from March 29th until April 10th, unknown perpetrator(s) pried open a rear sliding door to gain entry into the locked residence. The alarm system was then disabled and damaged, the house was thoroughly ransacked to include the basement, and items were stolen from inside.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Fattibene investigated a shoplifting at ULTA Beauty. Investigation found that two male suspects believed to be in their early 20’s entered the store and went directly to the men’s fragrance section. There they took out large mesh bags they had brought with them and rapidly filled them with 28 bottles of designer fragrance worth $3,425.00 and headed for the exit. Within two minutes of entering the store, they were out with their stolen goods, got into a red Nissan sedan, and drove away.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Mangone met with a victim in the lobby of police headquarters who reported the following; She provides “companionship services”, and on 4/18 she traveled to the Hyatt Place hotel to meet with a client. She stayed overnight with the client in exchange for $11,191.61 worth of bitcoin (cryptocurrency) which was transferred into her account. The next day, the client called her and accused her of stealing some of his property so she blocked his calls. Not long after that, the bitcoin transfer was reversed so she therefore received no payment for the service(s) she provided.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Hoffman investigated the theft of small appliances from the Target store. Investigation determined that two male suspects had filled two shopping carts with small appliances such Kitchen Aid mixers and Air Fryers. They walked past all points of sale without paying for anything, and as they attempted to leave, store Asset Protection tried to stop them. The suspects kept going and there was a struggle over the shopping carts. An item dropped out of one of the carts, and the suspect who was pushing that cart, picked up the item and ran out of the store. The other suspect was more determined. His cart had spilled out, but he put everything back in it, and pushed it out to a gray colored Hyundai that did not have any license plates on it. The two suspects got away with $2,107.96 worth of merchandise.

DETAILS:  Ptl. Borup investigated a burglary to a vehicle which occurred in the FedEx store parking lot. The victim had parked his car near the front of the store and was inside for around 10 minutes. When he returned to his car he found that someone had smashed his passenger side front window and stole his backpack that was on the front passenger seat. The backpack contained a MacBook laptop computer and some other items.

LOCATION OCCURRED:  Best Buy Parking Lot, 251 Nassau Park Blvd.
 
OFFICER:  Ptl. A. Pollini #599                     
 
DETAILS:  Ptl. Pollini met with the victim of a car theft who reported the following; While he was at work at Best Buy, someone stole his 2015 Ford sedan from the parking lot. His vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys in it. The victim used a tracking device on his car which showed that it was in Trenton. The victim and a co-worker went to try and find the car, and called the Trenton Police for assistance. They waited nearby where the vehicle was tracking, but before the police arrived, he observed a slender male with dreadlocks driving his car away. Trenton Police were unable to respond at the time due to a shooting that had occurred at another location. The victim continued to track the vehicle, eventually found it parked and unoccupied on a street, got in and took his vehicle back minus the license plates that had been taken off.
