Incident Summary-
On 5/23/2022, at approximately 6:16 p.m., personnel from the Petaluma Police Department and Petaluma Fire Department were dispatched to 4998 Petaluma Blvd. North (gas station) to investigate the report of a traffic collision where it was reported that a single vehicle had struck at least one object at the gas station. Officers arrived on scene and contacted Felix Paradise III, the driver, and his elderly passenger. Paradise displayed objective signs of alcohol intoxication and his vehicle appeared to have been involved in a collision. During the investigation paramedics determined the vehicle’s passenger (approximately 80-years-old) needed to be transported to a local hospital for nonlife-threatening injuries. Paradise was ultimately placed under arrest for DUI causing injury to another and Elder Abuse, both felony charges. After being medically cleared at a local hospital Paradise was booked at the Sonoma County Jail.
