On May 25, 2022, at about 2:10 am, Simi Valley Police Officers responded to the 2200 block of Elmdale Avenue to investigate a catalytic converter theft in progress. The caller saw three males associated with a dark-colored SUV under a parked van. The suspect vehicle left the area before officers were on scene. An officer located the possible suspect vehicle at Bigelow Avenue and Larch Street. The vehicle fled westbound Larch Street to northbound Erringer Road. A pursuit began, but was quickly terminated when the suspect’s driving became overly dangerous. The vehicle was last seen travelling east on the 118 Freeway, in excess of 120 mph.
